Break reminders
you can't ignore.

MoveBit measures your actual active computer time. Work too long and it puts a timed break screen on every monitor.

The difference

Not another timer you dismiss without moving.

MoveBit is built around three ideas.

Actual work time

The reminder clock follows keyboard and mouse idle time instead of blindly counting wall-clock minutes.

ACTIVE ≠ ELAPSED

A break that has weight

When the sit interval is reached, MoveBit can place a topmost timed break view on every connected display.

EVERY DISPLAY

Smart away detection

Stay idle beyond your away threshold and MoveBit treats that as a real break.

AWAY → RESET

Install once. Keep the upgrade path inside MoveBit.

From v1.0.1 onward, MoveBit keeps future upgrades inside the app.

Trust by design

It watches the clock, not your work.

A health utility should not need your documents, keystroke contents or an online account.

Local-first by default.

Configuration and history stay on your machine. Reminder logic works without an account or cloud service.

Idle duration, not key contentsNative platform idle APIs provide elapsed idle time.
No global keyboard / mouse lockThe forced break is a topmost app window, not an OS input hook.
No silent update installFile replacement starts only after your approval.

FAQ

The questions worth answering before install.

Installer or portable ZIP on Windows?

For normal daily use, choose the installer.

Does MoveBit update itself?

Yes, starting with v1.0.1.

Is a forced break the same as locking my computer?

No. MoveBit uses topmost full-screen application windows.

Does MoveBit record what I type or click?

No. MoveBit needs elapsed idle duration, not input contents.

What happens on Linux Wayland?

MoveBit falls back to elapsed-time reminders when a supported global idle source is unavailable.

Do I need to install .NET?

No for packaged releases.

Why might Windows or macOS warn about the download?

The current community builds are unsigned.

Your chair is not a workout plan.

MoveBit stays quiet while you work and becomes hard to ignore only when a real break is due.
